Hearit Original was first introduced in 1986 by Comento AB of Sweden which develops, manufactures and markets auditory tools. Hearit has received Functional Design Awards in Sweden and is listed by the Swedish Handicapped Institute as suitable for the disabled. The Royal National Institute for the Deaf in England and the Audiological Institute in Oslo, Norway, awarded the Hearit an excellent and very good technical performance rating, respectively. Hearit Company's North American Headquarter is located in Tucson, Arizona.

Hearit is currently being prescribed worldwide by speech language pathologists in healthcare, early childhood development and special education and by ESL-BIL and Reading instructor. Hearit is unique because it amplifies frequencies in the vocal production range (2500 to 6000 Hz), greatly enhancing phonologic awareness.
